Detroit Food Commons (DFC) is a 30,000 sq ft new construction community development project in Detroit’s North End neighborhood. Located at 8324 Woodward Ave., DFC is the home of a 15,000 sq ft retail store for the Detroit People Food Co-op, an incubator kitchen available for rental by local food businesses, a 3,900 sq ft event space, office space, and outdoor vendor booth space.

The Detroit Food Commons project is a transformative development featuring a cooperatively owned grocery store, community space, and a food business incubator that will make healthy and affordable food available to thousands of Detroit residents while serving as a hub for food justice and the agricultural economy.
